Jill Kopeikin joined GCA Law Partners as a litigation partner in December 2010. Her practice focuses on litigation and counseling in the areas of intellectual property, employment, and commercial disputes. Ms. Kopeikin emphasizes a balance of litigation avoidance planning, informal dispute resolution and litigation strategies to best achieve client objectives.

Previously, Ms. Kopeikin was a partner in the Silicon Valley Office of Dechert LLP. Ms. Kopeikin handled intellectual property matters in disputes concerning trade secrets, patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as related commercial claims. Ms. Kopeikin also handled a variety of investigations concerning issues in the civil, regulatory and criminal arenas on behalf of corporate entities or their independent directors. Ms. Kopeikin has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She has significant first chair trial experience in both the trial and appellate courts. She has appeared before the state and federal courts in a variety of jurisdictions, the appellate courts, in arbitration tribunals and before the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board. Ms. Kopeikin has handled disputes for clients in a broad range of industries spanning from technical software, semiconductor hardware and equipment, mechanical devices, pharmaceutical and related products, financial and mutual fund entities, fashion, travel and leisure, and insurance.

Ms. Kopeikin earned her B.S. from the University of Washington in 1989. She earned her J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) in 1992.
