Kim
Donovan joined GCA Law Partners LLP as a litigation partner in November
2003. Her practice includes litigation
in the areas of intellectual property, employment
and general business disputes. She focuses on counseling clients
to achieve their business goals through litigation strategy and
management, including avoiding litigation and using dispute resolution
when appropriate.
Previously,
Ms. Donovan had been a principal with Fish & Richardson P.C.
While with Fish & Richardson, from March 2000 through November
2003, Ms. Donovan handled intellectual property litigation matters,
primarily consisting of patent and trademark infringement cases.
From 1992 through 2000, Ms. Donovan was in the Intellectual Property
and Complex Litigation practice group at Ropers, Majeski, Kohn &
Bentley. She handled a variety of litigation, including patent,
trademark and copyright infringement cases, misappropriation of
trade secret actions, antitrust and RICO cases, employment disputes
(representing both plaintiffs and defendants) and general business
litigation. She has significant trial experience in cases involving
patent, trademark, trade secret and contract disputes. She has practiced
before federal and state courts and the International Trade Commission,
and she has handled binding and non-binding arbitrations in numerous
tribunals.
Ms. Donovan
earned her B.S. in Business Management and Commerce from Santa Clara
University in 1983. She graduated cum laude with a J.D. from Pepperdine
University School of Law in 1992.
