Deborah
Churton Aikins joined GCA Law Partners LLP in January 1995, specializing
in transactional real estate and
California land use law. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Aikins was
real estate of counsel with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati,
and senior associate with Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich, both
in Palo Alto, California. She previously practiced as an associate
with Bronson, Bronson & McKinnon (San Francisco) and Brobeck,
Phleger & Harrison (Pleasanton, CA). Ms. Aikins also has been
Associate General Counsel to the Redevelopment Agency of the City
of San Jose. Her broad-based transactional practice includes representation
of start-up, mid-size and large public, private and non-profit companies
in all aspects of commercial leasing, subleasing and purchase and
sales.
Ms. Aikins holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of California,
Berkeley. She received her J.D. from Hastings College of Law in
San Francisco, graduating cum laude as a member of the Order of
Coif and the Thurston Honor Society. Ms. Aikins has served as an
articles editor for the California Real Property Journal
and team instructor in real estate development at the University
of San Francisco School of Law.
